But, the good news is that it is something all the players know about and care about.

The problem right now is that what is being presented to consumers is legacy techniques repackaged by removing the more complex operations. The coolest 3D product that I have ever used was Cosmic Blobs... meant for children. It's probably because I think like an eight year old. But, the interface was nearly perfect for me.

Their problem was that the surface topography was too burdensome for the engine so it easily bogged down. Otherwise, I'm sure that it would have found a great place in our arsenal.

Thanks for writing.Tom Meekshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13580494966261788985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7059318635584644192.post-34034260584918291832014-03-18T11:59:41.477-07:002014-03-18T11:59:41.477-07:00A million years ago I was a Mac Developer and atte...A million years ago I was a Mac Developer and attended one of their great Developer Conferences. The really brilliant lady that was in charge of the Mac UI when finished with her presentation was asked 'what would be the perfect UI?' She very quickly replied 'if you know there is a UI, we aren't there yet!'

I believe your approach to teaching how to use these very complex projects is unique and very refreshing. Thanks for taking the time to post what you are doing on this terrific project. Hopefully some young engineer will read this and have one of those 'ah ha' moments and things will be better for all of us.
